Rang de Basanti !!!!!!!

"Abhi Jiske khoon na kola, woh khoon nahi paani hai;

Jo Desh ka Kaam Na Aaye woh Bekaar Jawani hai"

This thought first up sets the stage for an ecstatic two and half hours of the this masterpiece. wonder how i don't get to miss these good ones in my life so far :). Thanks to A R Rahman whose enchanting and rocking music provoked me to extend my day till late night to watch it.
A casual thought of spending 160 rs for the audio CD od RDB has it all for anyone looking for a perfect musical feast.
The rocking "Patshala" song brings out the ruthless brat within you. And remix of it " To the Mahal of the Taj, To the minar of Qutb" probably an Indian brat.

Daler Mehndi's number too catches the blend of the Bhaangra with "Rang de Basanti". Three Excellent slow numbers "Tu bin bataye" and "Khoon Chala", but the one thats really the winnner is "Lukka Chuppi" by Lata and Rahman. The song is very contextual after seeing the movie. Rahman has bent it with his hindustani flavor to it:). What more do you want which makes you more curious about the release, already few controversires under its kitty. This movie is the perfect starter for the year and for Republic day 2006.

Hardly we expected the film to have the backdrop of "Krantikaaris" of the indian independence movement. To our surprise the first frame of it was Bhagat Singh(Siddarth) reading a book having an inscription of the Lenin the great(wish to have a look at it). From there on it was all fun with the movie. The film mainly focuses on the transformation of totally freaked out guys into the heros of the nation and of their one's self.

"Log Dho tarah ki hote hain"
"Ek Jo hota hain!! hone dho, Bardhash karo
Ya phir, Zammidhaari Uttaao aur Badlo"

A perfect launchpad for the youth of india. Making them to think in lines of Azad, Bhagat, Raj Guru, Bismil... Whatever we think important in life to us"Us jeez ke liye poora jaan lagaao, jaise bhagat aur azad ke liye Desh" . Though you come out the hall with heavy heart, it still pertains within you as the spirit to walk along side reminding that there is also a courageous face and instinct for you.

As a whole the perfomance is simply superb as far as Aamir is concerned, simply outplayed others. Soha is sweet. Siddarth has done a decent job, Kunal Kapoor(Aslam) impressive.

Range de Basanti has turned to be a Tour de France for India as the latter is for Lance Armstrong.

Worth grabbing a original copy of the movie VCDs and DVDs releasing this march. Still worth watching more than once in theatres. With out any argument this is the my all time favourite film.

Enjoy the movie :)
